Once upon a time, I lived in a very small house with a lot of people. Living with my 11 member family in such a small house really took a toll on the house. I know that in the time we lived there, we ripped out the carpeting in the living room, tore up the linoleum in the kitchen, and had several toilets put in the small single bathroom that we shared.
One Christmas, my older brothers, who are both very handy around the house, decided to give my parent the ultimate present. They completely tore out the bathroom and repainted the walls, added a better sub flooring and put in new linoleum. They also sealed everything up so that when small children splashed in the bathtub it wouldn’t ruin the floor or sub flooring.
They did an amazing job and definitely improved the house by ten-fold. Somehow, when the bathroom looks nice, it drastically improves the look of the rest of the house’s interior. This is why I plan on putting a vintage shower or vintage tub in my house when I grow up.
I think that vintage showers and tubs just make the bathroom look more classy. I love them. It is decided.
