Finding a great gift for in-laws can literally drive a person crazy. Relations with in-laws can be difficult enough on a normal basis. Now, you have to somehow glean an object that they would really like when you can barely read whether they are feeling amiable towards you on a daily basis. In-law relationships can be tough. You weren’t born into the family, but you are expected to learn the ins and outs that it has taken them years to develop. When in doubt, choose an in-law gift that is catered toward pampering themselves. Get them a foot reflexology massager, maybe some bubble bath, perhaps a neck massager or acupressure mat. Something that they can look forward to when they have a rough day. Even if they are incapable of relaxing long enough to enjoy the gift, they can’t help but acknowledge the implied recognition of the importance of pampering themselves. Who really wants to argue with that? Maybe if they want to create tension, they will find some way to slight the gift, but deep down, they know the acupressure mat you picked was actually thoughtful, and eventually they might become curious enough to try it out and actually relax a little more.
